I grew up in a family that drinks tea more than any other beverage, but it wasn’t until I moved to Florida that I discovered the charm of local tea rooms. Nothing quite hits the spot like a pot of warm tea, dainty finger sandwiches, and a scrumptious dessert.
So, I thought I’d share with you my three favorite tea rooms in Central Florida. Whether you’re a local resident or simply visiting the area, these tea rooms make an excellent getaway for the afternoon!
Garden View Tea Room
Best Atmosphere and Food

Located at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, the Garden View Tea Room is an image of grandeur and splendor. Afternoon tea in this lavish, Victorian-style resort comes with a touch of elegance and sophistication that’s reminiscent of a time long ago. I always order The Bedfordshire Tea tower, and the must-try dessert is the delicate House-made Pastries with Mousse-filled Swan, French Macaron, and Chocolate Covered Strawberry. I’ve heard the Seasonal English Trifle is wonderful, too!
Lavender n’ Lace Tea Room
Best Décor and Photo Spots

When I visit the Lavender n’ Lace Tearoom in Lake Alfred, I feel completely immersed in the setting. Every room is unique with antique and vintage décor. No two tea pots are the same! This tea room is an amazing spot to take Instagram-worthy pictures – look for the Gift Room, where the fine china lines the walls from floor to ceiling!
Celebration Tea Room
Best Tea Variety and Seasonal Menu

If I’m looking for a quick bite and afternoon tea with a friend, Celebration Tea Room is my go-to choice. This tea room offers a wide variety of tea flavors, including some can’t-miss seasonal favorites around the holidays. I usually select one of their High Tea options, which (at the middle tier) includes a pot of tea, four assorted tea sandwiches, scone and pastry, fruits and cheeses, and dessert. If it’s available, sit in the whimsical Alice in Wonderland-themed room!
